SWE Council is a leadership development program within UF SWE designed to help underclassmen get more involved, build community, and step into leadership roles. Council members collaborate on projects across four main committees: Fundraising, Social, SWElevate, and Workshops. Each committee offers hands-on experience in planning events, building community, and supporting the professional and personal growth of SWE members.
A message from our 2025-2026 SWE Council Chairs:

Hi! I’m Anna Simmons, and I’m one of this year’s SWE Council Chairs! SWE Council is an amazing opportunity to join a community within SWE that encourages leadership, collaboration, meaningful connections, and shared growth. If you have any questions about SWE Council, feel free to reach out to me or the other chair. We’re both so excited to see what this year holds for SWE Council! Go Gators!

Hey! I’m Gigi, and I’m thrilled to be co-chairing SWE Council this year! Getting involved at the start of college can be tough, but joining Council was an incredible way for me to explore SWE, meet new people, and build personal and professional skills like leadership, communication, and teamwork. I’m truly excited for the opportunity to help make the Council experience even more impactful for future SWEeties!
Applications are currently closed. Check back at the beginning of Fall semester!
